Russia increased imports of pepper from Vietnam

Specifically, the import of Russian pepper from Vietnam in the first 10 months of 2020 reached 6.1 thousand tons, worth $ 15.54 million, up 7.9% in volume and 9.7% in value. market share of Vietnam in total imports of Russia accounted for 74.7% in the first 10 months of 2020, higher than 68.56% market share in the first 10 months of 2019. Pepper imports of Russia from India market in 10 months of 2020 reached 991 tons, worth 1.12 million USD, up 48.6% in volume and 32.2% in value over the same period in 2019. Indian pepper in total Russian imports accounted for 12.17% in the first 10 months of 2020, up from 8.1% in the first 10 months of 2019.

 

At the end of December 2020, domestic black pepper prices decreased compared to the end of November 2020. On December 28, 2020, black pepper prices decreased from 2,000-4,000 VND / kg (equivalent to a decrease of 3.6 – 6.8%) compared to November 30, 2020.
